Prison Break is an American action and suspense television series, first broadcast by FOX on August 29th, 2005. The plot follows Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), a man who was sentenced to death for allegedly having killed the US Vice President's brother. Meanwhile his brother, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), a civil engineer, comes up with a plan to get his brother out of jail before the death sentence is executed.
In order to do so, Scofield must form alliances with dangerous detainees, such as John Abruzzi (Peter Stormare), mob boss and T-Bag (Robert Knepper), a murderous pedophile, to facilitate the escape. While outside, Veronica Donovan (Robin Tuney), Lincoln's lawyer and ex-girlfriend, does everything possible to prove his innocence. They come across a big "hurdle" when Michael falls in love with a nurse, Sarah Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies), whose help he needed for the escape. Behind everything there is a big conspiracy connecting everyone, including the US Vice President, to a huge group of multinationals and the US government called "The Company." Prison Break has four full seasons and the fifth is in progress. Containing 23 episodes of 42 minutes each, Prison Break is currently the series with the largest number of viewers.
